Swordfish are a prized catch here in the Philippines because they are quite rare and also because they have the best tasting flesh of all the billfish.  Swordfish are known to stay at great depths during the day and to move closer to the surface to feed at night.

The is one of the popular big game species that can be caught here in the Philippines.  It is locally called Malasugi and it quite common through out the islands.  These are pelagic fish that most often travel in schools.  They are highly migratory which is why they can be found all around the country.  More info to follow…
